A lady with many interests, full time Citrus Export Farmer, Cornelia Steenkamp, affectionately known by all as “Kwassie”, decided that she had enough of Tractors, Orchards and farm workers. Besides her love for Texas No-Limit Holdem Poker, which has taken her to Las Vegas and all over South Africa, she has always had a flair and love for décor and entertaining.
Pet friendly Chefs On Marine, combined with décor has been her lifelong dream and currently she is living her dream. Her passion for creating preserves grown on own farm is always on display.

André – Exec Chef

Working as a Mechanical Engineer in the Petro-Chemical Industry and farming Boer goats and Nguni cattle for many years, in 2015 André Steenkamp decided to pursue his love for the culinary art and to give farming and engineering a bit of a rest.

He is well known for his homemade style soups and Traditional Indian style Curries.

André loves flame grilled Steaks, Snoek and Dorado on a fire. Wholesome family meals being his speciality.

Jacques – Head Chef

Jacques Naudé Kunz, a Prue Leith graduate, heads the complete culinary experience at Chefs. From taking care of Front Of House, to inspiring every Chef and staff member, he has the freedom of expression and places his own stamp on the menu with his creativity and self-expression. His experience as Head Chef of a franchise outfit in Gauteng and various other high-end restaurants in Pretoria has made him a valuable asset to Chefs. Sandra Janse van Rensburg – Logistics

Making sure Chefs is always stocked with top quality and fresh produce is Sandra Janse van Rensburg. Besides product procurement, the day-to-day admin is taken care by her. We have a policy of supporting local and she certainly does.

Jannie du Plessis – Financial Officer

Ex Banking executive Jannie du Plessis, is the man responsible for making sure the books balance. Legal and financial compliance is his department.
